  • 3 yr old – only child
  • Mother recently diagnosed with breast cancer – much stress in family
  • Only weed/pooed in nappy – hates being changed when dirty and fights
  • Very unhappy when made to sit on toilet
  • Passed formed poos daily in nappy
  • Anxious

Treatment 

  • Seen 4x in therapy
  • Nappy removed and used only at night
  • Additional strategies as per OT instruction – similar to child T case study
  • Parent to wake early to remove night nappy

Outcome

  • No nappy – wears undies until night time
  • No soiling
  • Daily soft poos  in toilet by self with some supervision from parent
  • Laxatives discontinued
  • Cooperative when made to go to toilet
  • Anxiety greatly reduced and calm with toilet issues
